Empowering Women andTeens
Why "Lotus Rose"?
The name Lotus Rose is inspired by the deep meaning behind these two symbols. Lotus symbolizes strength, resilience, and purity, serving as a reminder for our clients to find inner strength and overcome life's challenges. It represents the ability to rise above adversity and emerge stronger than before. Similarly, the rose symbolizes rebirth and transformation, signifying the potential for personal growth and renewal. These values align perfectly with our practice's core objectives, which focus on helping individuals navigate their journey towards healing and self-discovery.
Moreover, the name Lotus Rose holds a special significance for Joy, the founder of this practice, as it is a tribute to her maternal grandmother, whose name was Lotus Rose Cooper. She embodied these qualities in her own life and was an inspiration to others through her own personal adversities and challenges.

About your therapists
My name is Joy, and I like to think I fit my name well. My approach to therapy is to build positive rapport with my clients right from the beginning to foster a positive environment for vulnerability and growth moving forward. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is essential in healing and transformation.
While being a therapist is one of my favorite roles, my greatest joy comes from being a wife and mom to my three wonderful kids. They are the reason I do what I do and my number one supporters in life! I enjoy traveling, shopping, sushi, and planning parties.
On a professional level, I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I often incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other tailored approaches to meet the unique needs of my clients. I’m committed to continuous learning and adapting my methods. My specialties include Maternal Mental Health, Trauma, and Grief. I primarily work with women and teens, but I’m open to anyone who feels I might be a good fit for them.
If you're interested in setting up a 15 minute consultation, please reach out and let me know!

Hi, I’m Pam!
I’m originally from Brazil but have lived in the U.S. for the past 20 years. I’m married and a proud mom of four kids, which has given me a wealth of life experience in patience, problem-solving, and navigating the challenges of raising a family.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, crocheting, working on DIY projects and training jiu-jitsu.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Boise State University and became licensed in 2013. My early experience included both school counseling and hospice care, where I helped children and families navigate challenging times. While my formal career took a pause as I focused on raising my family, those years have given me invaluable experience in listening, problem-solving, and helping others navigate challenges.
I’m excited to now focus on supporting women as they work through issues like anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in compassion, understanding, and a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit. I primarily use Solution-Focused Therapy, which helps clients identify their strengths and resources to create practical strategies for achieving their goals and overcoming obstacles.
