Reduced-Rate Therapy
Affordable Therapy in Orem, Utah
Reduced-rate sessions with our supervised counseling interns — because getting help shouldn't depend on your budget.
Cost Shouldn't Be the Reason You Wait
For a lot of women, "I should talk to someone" stays stuck at someday because of the price tag. Our reduced-rate program exists to close that gap.
You get a dedicated therapist, real weekly sessions, and the same trauma-informed care Lotus Rose is known for — at a rate that works for more budgets.
How It Works
How We Keep It Affordable
Lotus Rose hosts graduate-level counseling interns who are completing the final stage of their education. They provide therapy at a significantly reduced rate, and all clinical work is supervised by a fully licensed supervisor who meets all state-required supervision qualifications.
What "supervised" actually means: your therapist meets weekly with a licensed supervisor to review their clinical work. You get two clinical minds on your care — the therapist in the room, and the experienced supervisor behind them.
This Program Is a Good Fit If…
- Money is the main thing standing between you and starting therapy
- You have a high-deductible insurance plan — the reduced cash rate is often less than what you'd pay toward your deductible
- You don't have insurance at all
- You're new to therapy and want to start somewhere approachable
Insurance Works Here Too
Our interns can bill most major insurance plans — with the exception of UnitedHealthcare. During your free consultation we'll help you figure out whether insurance or the reduced cash rate is the cheaper path for your plan. Either way, you'll know the cost before your first session. See our insurance & pricing page for the full picture.

Common Questions
Reduced-Rate Therapy, Answered
Is seeing an intern therapist right for me?
For most concerns — anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, self-esteem — yes. If your situation calls for a specific specialty or a fully licensed clinician, we'll tell you honestly during your free consultation and match you with the right person on our team.
Will I get less-qualified care with an intern?
You'll get a therapist who is trained, supervised weekly by a licensed clinician, and carrying a smaller caseload than most licensed therapists — which often means more time and energy for you. Interns at Lotus Rose are held to the same trauma-informed standards as everyone on our team.
Can I use my insurance for reduced-rate sessions?
Our interns can bill most major insurance plans, with the exception of UnitedHealthcare. And if you have a high-deductible plan, the reduced cash rate is often less than what you'd pay toward your deductible. During your free consultation we'll help you figure out which option is cheaper for your specific plan.
What happens when my therapist finishes their internship?
We'll talk through it together well before it happens. Many clients continue with their therapist as they become licensed; others transition to another Lotus Rose clinician. Either way, you won't be left without support.
